I won't be getting season 3 right away as I would have to buy a whole additional package with about 10 channels. Movie central is with one package, ,superchannel the other. They sure know how to gouge you. |

It seems she's manic even while TAKING the drugs. Without them she turns psychotically depressed. We have the new episode on DVR. After the cram course the last couple weeks we need a breather. Edited by Trotsky, Oct 1 2013, 06:08 AM.

Season 3 Episode 1 was MORONIC. One man with a handgun overtaking a virtual fortress of "bad guys" and the "humanity" when he slaughtered a kid...yeccchhh! Entertaining the concept that Congress might shut down the CIA, and using that as justification, after sufficient hand-wringing, for character assassination of an agent, perjury before Congress, and God knows how many other crimes...that's friggen NUTSY stupid. And the dooozy from the senator after Carrie took the Fifth: "I know I can get you for contempt of Congress but I'll get you for much more." Do the writer's have a CLUE what the Fifth Amendment SAYS? Taking the Fifth Amendment is most certainly NOT contempt of Congress, a felony, although it might be contempt FOR congress...quite another matter and something most thing people share today. I don't know how much more of this series meltdown I can take. Are we SUPPOSED to be rooting for the terrorists? Edited by Trotsky, Oct 5 2013, 06:30 AM.

Sorry Helen...I should have "spoilered." But in truth, I think that unless you have SEEN the episode what I said wouldn't have made a who lot of sense. Actually, I SAW the episode and it didn't make a lot of sense. Edited by Trotsky, Oct 5 2013, 10:09 AM.

Season 2 started out well and built to an Oh, My God moment and then petered off into silly confusion. |

Closing credits of this week's Homeland's episode was a great version of Bye Bye Blackbird but I unable to locate the artist. Has anyone see it yet and have any idea of the artist? |

For those in Canada who are waiting for Season 2 (!) I saw on the Bravo Facebook page that someone said it is coming possibly in January. I have no idea what the hold up is. |

We'll listen tonight and I'll see what I can go with it. It's one of my favorite songs. I think they used it as a theme for Redford-Farrow GATSBY back when. It always melts me. I did a little search: Van Morrison Edited by Trotsky, Nov 15 2013, 12:55 AM.

Yeah, saw that listed as a possibility and it certainly is something he would do but when I was searching and after listening to the only Morrison clip I could find, I don't think that is the one used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKYhFRvmjgk |

Here's my source...couple paragraphs after the last picture: http://www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/fistbump-ranking-last-nights-homeland-bye-bye-blackbird.php and the sentence: "Loved leaving off Saul and Mira with Van Morrison’s cheery rendition of Bye Bye Blackbird. If even for just a moment, Saul’s on top of the world." I think it likely that Van Morrison might have done a unique version for the show. (I'll listen tonight...last night we needed to watch and return the Netflix Blu-Ray of A HIJACKING. Very well done but the overdone topic never grabs me. Bob loved it.)
