LOL. I like your suggestions, Fuzzy, but I think they are going to remain Blue and Red because Blue is already responding to that name, and Green/Red is still confused because I, like Angora, also keep calling him Green, by mistake. |

Those names are good, but you mustn't put a red collar on a red cat BJ. Aeshtetically it''s all wrong. Leave the collar off and call him Red. |

He isn't red, Fuzzy. He is a gold and cream color. Not orange or red at all. |

Gold has red. Purple or teal would look good if he must have a collar; but I'm with Angora, I don't think cats should wear collars |

Fuzzy, I know you are an artist, but we think "Red" and "Blue" they will remain. Trotsky - they have begun to use the covered litterbox. It has vents in it, so they wouldn't suffocate in there and it makes a huge different in the quantity of litter that ends up on the floor. We are going to buy another, and hopefully replace all that are open. btw - Fuzzy, Angora and anyone else who has kitties. Overstock.com has cat trees that look really nice and are incredibly inexpensive compared to what they cost in the stores. Last night DH and I watched TV downstairs with the boys and they were all over us. Blue was actually getting a bit wild/overstimulated. I was trying to eat some salami and chees (permitted on atkins), and Blue was jumping on it the entire time. You would think we didn't feed them!! |

Sounds like everyone is having fun! When do they get to explore upstairs? |

That is the big question, Fuzzy. They really do love being with us. We watched TV for about 1 and 1/2 hours tonight, and the entire time Red was all over me while Blue purred in John's lap. But we MUST get the litter issue under control before they can have free run of the house. I spend a lot of time cleaning up after them on just one floor. But they are very cuddly and I miss having a kitty in bed with us. Also, I think because they were shelter cats, and spent so much time confined in their cage, they needed the time to get their muscles working and develop more coordination. We have noticed that they seem to be a bit wobbly at times, though they r improving. We haven't let them climb stairs yet, fearing they weren't strong enough. But today they were actually chasing each other around the lower level at fairly high speed, so thy may be ready to climb stairs. |

I am now just beginning to realize what an angel Pandora was. Just not used to naughty boy kittens. These guys are just not happy unless the litter box litter is all over the floor (Yes, Alli, we got a covered box, with vents for Trotsky, but they prefer the open one) and when we go downstairs to watch TV, it is increasingly harder to watch with a cat on your head. and my constant decaf iced tea....I would much prefer it without paws dipped into it (I think trying to catch the ice cubes)...the very same paws that emptied the dirty litter boxes. and notwithstanding the scratching devices we have all over the place, they much prefer the furniture. Thoughts? I never had to "train" Pandora. She really was an angel.... |

They're kids. They'll settle down eventually. You can get litter mats which will help clean their paws as they leave the box. |

Never heard of litter mats. What exactly are they and where does one purchase them? |
