Spawn of Satan?

Uh Oh......Tonight, either Red or Blue or both climbed atop our tall filing cabinet and knocked an award John received at work 40+ years ago to the floor where it broke.
I looked at Blue and asked, "Are you the spawn of Satan?" I swear, Blue jumped up, put his paws on my thighs, smiled and meowed......I never believed in all that stuff, but.......

bj, it sounds like Blue is your bęte noir. Keeps you hopping, right.

Yesterday Ruckus jumped up on top of a high shelf where I'd put things out of his reach, wriggled and pushed and knocked down a wire basket containing my diabetes test kit, 3 cameras and some odds and ends I was trying to figure out. I yelled a bit, found a place for them and turned the wire basket into a container for his toys. All is well now.

Isn't it a good thing they are so cute and cuddley? Did the cameras survive?

Only two of my Dahlia tubers seem to be growing and I was going to buy more, but then I realized, why bother? No point in trying to arrange flowers when the boys will just see any container or vase as something else to destroy.

On another matter, has anyone ever purchased a pet pen for cats? We looked at one yesterday at Camping World that was 36" in diameter, and are thinking of buying one at Overstock.com that is 46" in diameter to put out on the deck so the boys can get some fresh air without being a danger to birds and without being picked up and carted off by eagles. I think the 46" inch one might be large enough to put a small litter box in it and a bowl of water.

We usually go to Palm Desert in the winter and Pandora was a pleasure to travel with as she was too old to misbehave or run off. I am just dreading traveling with these two. I don't think we could leave them alone in the pet pen outside the motor home for fear a large dog could get to them, even in the pen (it has a zipper top). But I can't imagine how they could burn off enough energy in our 30' motorhome....

I dunno, seems small and red and blue seem active. However, it is a good idea because you will have to give them some room to move and things to interest them if you are living in a trailer.

Maybe get 2 of them? As Ive mentioned we have an outdoor cat run but it is bigger than a dog run so doesn't compare.

My sister-in-law had her two cats leash trained. They had the run of their motor home, but were taken out for walks around the trailer park in Texas.

My parents always travelled with their cat "Mojo" went as far as Tuktoyaktuk in the North West Territories They had a dog crate that was collapsible Mo was a fairly large cat that no way could slip through the bars. It was safe when they camped Mo was put into the pen stayed in there quite happily had his litter box Though they never left him if they were going to be away from him for any time To many other elements that could get to him. Unfortunately on their way back Mojo who was 9 at the time had a heart attack and died in Alaska. It might be something to consider If there are bugs get another mesh cover to protect them from being bitten.....

This book is delightful. "

Every millenium produces its own original thinkers—brave, independent sages who look at life from completely fresh perspectives and leave behind them a glorious legacy of truth and wisdom for the benefit of us all. Such is the case again with "The Tao of Meow," a collection of 81 reflections on life and the way to total self-gratification as only a cat can tell it.
Any resemblance between these verses and the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is entirely deliberate and indicates that you are a discerning reader.
