Silly stuff

Speaking of which, we just set up a motion detector device in front of our Christmas tree (still undecorated) that when a cat approaches, emits a loud noise and a blast of air like those air cans one uses to clean your computer. Red is totally traumatized and is in therapy. Blue is still trying to defeat the damn thing.

Trying to get a photo to share.....

While writing on my computer I heard a lot of rattling and carry on in the kitchen. I dashed in only to see Ruckus struggling to climb out over the oven door. It turns out that John put a steak on a plate into the oven this morning so it would defrost. He also left the door ajar, as you do when broiling. So Ruckus though .. 'steak, yum' and got on the top of the stove and dropped himself into the oven. I guess it turned out that he couldn't eat the frozen steak and wanted to make a quick exit.

Sorry, I am technically inadequate. He did look cute though, black cat with enormous eyes emerging from the white oven. Automatically, I said, "Get out of the oven!" He rolled his eyes. :)

The one below is from the youtube age posted above. Not a silly one though.

Bitsy: I love the video - puppies are so cute and lovable.

Dana: Goldengal started a thread on dog rescue and the link to Holly's rescue is in it. I cried when I saw the results of abuse of these dogs.

Yikes, Darcie. They are strange. and I find most of them extremely ugly.

With all the kitties and dogs in shelters needing homes, I simply cannot imagine why anyone would go out of their way or incur the expense to acquire a 'designer" cat or dog.
