BJ my little Spook is alive and doing well. My husband calls her our gold plated cat because so far she has cost us $1800. But hopefully we have found the cure for her condition. It is something they put in a new food, our bet called it a miracle food. Other wise she would have needed a very invasive operation, very costly and iffy.
So we are hoping that this is our solution.

So happy to hear that, Margaret, but sorry about the huge bill. What kind of food is it?

HI BJ it is called Royal Canin and is a veterinary diet gastrointestinal That is the kibble type and the soft food is called medical and is about 2dollars a can, not too bad.

Margaret, that's very odd about the food! Royal Canin is one that causes many dogs to react with allergies to it. My dog was only half sized when he arrived due to allergies to what he was being fed - Royal Canin. When I bought food for Roland Saturday, the seller told me that many dogs react badly to it.

I hope they do better with cat food! Perhaps they do with their specialty items.

The Kibbles type is called Royal Canin gastrointestinal fibre response. It was developed especially for cats with intestinal problems. Spook has twice gotten so bunged up that she was extremely sick. It was like cement. They had to dig it out.
The first Vet kept her overnight and got her working again but offered no advice and no help. I tried to keep her bowls working but finally they quite again. I went to a different vet and they explained to me exactly what was happening. Before this miracle food as they called it a cat would have to have a very invasive operation with only a small chance of recovery.
So we will see. She likes it and is back to her old self.

That's great Margrace. Perhaps Canin needs to stick to cat food and maybe their specialty lines are great.

(I will never feed their regular stuff for chihuahuas to Roland again as he could not sit still from scratching as though his whole body was covered in fleas last time he had some.)
