HELP!!! It has been years since I did this, and now I forget how I got it back. The top line with File, Favourites, Tools, etc. I thought it was an F key I used. I am using IE.

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Take care,
Pat

I discovered I can get it back when I press F10, but then as soon as I change to another screen, I lose it again.

Take care,
Pat

Yah, done that a few times.
Though I am using firefox, when I right click I get a menu that allows me to check a box to have that bar show or not.

The one that bugs me and I forget how to fix is when the type starts to overtype.

I don't use IE but I think you click a gear icon at the upper right corner and choose the items you want displayed.

I E?

Click on View. Select the toolbars you want.

Oops view is on that line.

Right click on a blank spot and look for Menu Bar.

Menu Bar brings it back.

And after you get it back with the rightclick on the top line, also click "Lock the Toolbars."

Hi there .... Here I am and back in business many hours later. My friend in New Hampshire told me to right click on that cog wheel thingy and then (might have been something in between .... I forget) Lock in Toolbars. Well, I did just that and managed to lose all top lines and all bottom lines. In other words, I could do nothing.

Just now my granddaughter's boyfriend fixed it. He told me if that line disappears again to press Alt, click View>Toolbars>Menu Bar.

I hope I do not get myself in this mess again because I could go nowhere. Thanks all.

Take care,
Pat

That won't work if the Menu Bar is gone because that's where View is on the Menu Bar.

The way to do it is to right click on the Favorites (with the star shape) and then click on Menu Bar.

That's probably how you made it disappear in the first place.

I was trying to get a screen shot with the Menu Bar gone.

There it is. Now you see it now you don't.

After you get it up click on View and then click on lock the toolbars.
