Another hot one today, have Ma Bell coming back to finish their phone installation. They did not activate the two bedrooms. Customer service has been farmed out to Manila and one can hardly understand what they are saying. They also must be stupid about their jobs as it took me about 3 hours and 4 departments before someone finally understood that I was not about to pay $99 for a service call to correct the work that their installers should have done correctly in the first place. After switching from Rogers I am fast becoming aware that I have a different set of problems with Bell as providers. Vive la Difference. Next battle is over Internet service, was promised Unlimited but only given 20GB. And, I have the promise in writing. Grrrrr... Maybe this should be in rants? Would someone move it if so. Thanks What a way to waste time, with corporations who don't give a d..m about their customers. So many give up and just pay because they have better things to do in their lives than fight Ma Bell. Unfortunately I don't have the money to afford myself of that luxury and just pay good money for bad service. Sorry, just venting, they take jobs away from Canadians and give very bad service. Moved the above from the coffee lounge The nice Bell Repair man came, there was one little wire that the installer had forgotten to connect. He thanked me for all the problems I had gone to with the outsourced system. He said if more customers did that Bell might listen. Worth a try to get jobs back to Canada. |

I retired from Bell more than 15 years ago! Since that time 10s of thousands of Canadians have been retired, laid off or fired. I have wondered who was going to do the work? Technology is one factor, competition from others such as Telus, Rogers, etc. are all factors. However, one thing that I never imagined was the shipping of work to 3rd world countries. The work is being taken care of, but sadly not by Canadians. And beyond sending the services abroad, now they are bringing in temporary workers to do the physical work as well. |
