How to rotate received videos?

Everything sent from my daughter's camera arrives sideways. It is easy to rotate photos so I can see them right side up, does anyone know how to rotate videos?

You should have your daughter rotate her video camera 90 degree's when she is recording!

VLC here are instructions on how to rotate it.
