Had a call today from someone with an accent (Al Qaeda?) saying that they were calling regarding my computer needing a scan for viruses. When I asked for verification the man gave me this number 210-764-4948 to call for verification. Must be Microsoft or some other tech company working for them, right? :jig: I don't think so! Another phishing scammer but this scam is so old now, surely there is no one out there who has not heard of it. Checking the number online brings no real results other than that the area code is for San Antonio Texas. |

I keep getting those calls but they always hang up when I ask what they think my IP address is. If the don't know my IP they have not heard from my computers and have no idea what problems they may have. |

I get some sort of amusement from stringing these people along! They aren, t very computer literate and its easy to do! My last call was from a very polite young lady, and when she realized that I was having her on, she said, " why don't you f**k off" before hanging up! |
