Skeptic Posts: 31,154 Group: Member Member #714 Joined: March 30, 2010	Ontario's police watchdog is investigating after officers deployed a Taser on an 80-year-old woman in Mississauga, Ont. The Special Investigations Unit said the incident under investigation occurred in the Thomas Street and Erin Mills Parkway area in the early hours of Aug. 28. Their preliminary information indicates that Peel Regional Police had received calls about a woman walking along the road. The SIU said that police spoke with the woman and "at some point" a Taser was deployed and the woman fell to the ground. Mistress, House of Dogs Posts: 11,674 Group: Member Member #715 Joined: March 31, 2010	Suppose I should be scared. What does bother me is the woman I walk with most weekday mornings. She gets here at 5 and walks for 3/4 of an hour before we meet up these mornings. She is a slim woman, and I do not think she should be walking alone when it is now pitch dark. Oh oh ..... just hearing on CITY that they are saying this woman was holding a kitchen knife and suffers from dementia. Hmmmm ........... Take care, Pat

The woman is suffering from dementia but as the report said, what would you have said if the woman had wounded or even killed the man.

There is obviously more to this than we know. I'll hold judgement until the facts are in including the lead up.

Why? You are complicating a situation. Yes she did a have knife. I wonder if this cop would have tasered his own 80-year-old mother.� Choked up, the woman said her mother is still in hospital.
