Dancing With the Stars unveiled its cast for its upcoming 17th season on Good Morning America Wednesday morning and though the ABC reality hit is downsizing to just one night a week, the star power is supersized!

Along with Glee fan favorite Amber Riley and former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, former Jersey Shore star turned proud mama Snooki, Jack Osbourne and Leah Remini are all set to put on their dancing shoes and compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy come Monday, Sept. 23. Valerie Harper, Bill Nye (the Science Guy), Elizabeth Berkley, a High School Musical star and a Pretty Little Liars hottie will also be getting their rhumba on.

Another year Maks will not be taking part in the competition.

Take care,

I wonder if Jack Osborne will be dancing. He and his wife just lost their baby at a late stage pregnancy. Heard this today. Very sad!

Bill Nye the Science Guy.... maybe he'll make a formula for dancing.. laugh123 Posted Image

No Maks? He's too busy with his model girlfriend.... :Hmmmfrown:

I agree that Val is good without Maks' arrogance, but I still prefer Maks. biggrin 04

Every year I say that I won't watch it again. But, of course, I get hooked and don't miss a week. I think the program is digging the bottom of the barrel to come up with "stars".
Thank goodness the new programs are all starting this month. dancin5ap :clapping:

I agree that they aren't stars for the most part, and often I haven't even heard of most of them. I still enjoy the program though, it seems that what they go through is transformative.

For the first time Bitsy I have not watched DWTS this season as I am so into The Voice. The contestants on The Voice are all so good, and tonight two are eliminated. Because there is no one that stands out, it is anyone's guess as to who will be eliminated.

Take care,
Pat

I would think Jack and Cheryl should be the first to go. Amber and Corbin are both good but I'd like to see Corbin & Karina win, for Karina's sake.

It's almost impossible to say Bitsy. Jack Osborne was so impressive last night, but then so were the other 2 couples. The Michael Jackson number was incredible, and Derek's choreography showcased Amber wonderfully. I think for perhaps the first time I'd be equally happy no matter who wins.

The View just came on, and the 3 remaining contenders are to be on there this morning.

Oops ..... Just heard that Amber and Derek were the winners.

Take care,
Pat
