This begins tonight on PBS (8.00 Central Time) and features a couple who dated in their teen years. Now in their 70s they have met again. Our 40 something TV critic describes it as lovely, warm, charming and captivating.

It's not on PBS but other channels which I can't get. Weird.

Helen, if you have a TV guide that you can access on your TV, and especially if you can access more than one PBS station, check that way.

We subscribe to TV Guide, and their listings are often wrong, especially with regard to PBS listings.

I also find that many stations broadcast different shows in HD than the show being broadcast not in HD, and the listings are usually for the non high definition show.

So if you want to see Last Tango, try all the PBS stations at 8 pm to which you have access, both regular and HD.

By the way, I've got enough trouble juggling what I have to watch tonight - Breaking Bad, Dexter, Ray Donovan, Cooper, Rizzoli & Isles - I'm sure I've missed out some. Thank goodness for PVR, time shifting.

I enjoyed the first episode.
I haven't watched it yet but I did get it recorded. It required much rearranging; Silk, Broadway Empire, Newsroom, Ray Donovan, and Low Winter Sun plus the Dallas Cowboy vs New York Giants.

Sounds like Lionel and Jean.

Some similarities I suppose, but the characters are very different and of course it is not a sitcom.

I loved the Lionel and Jean series, too.

We watched Last Tango and Silk last night. Will see Newsroom tonight.

Last Tango was good enough that we will give it another go, but it was no Lionel and Jean.

I usually loathe lawyer shows, but think Silk was superb.
