Using FF

View Image
Copy Image
Copy Image Location
Save Image As
Email Image
Set as Desktop Background
View Image Info
Inspect Element (Q)

Maybe it is because we are using FF?

So what you would use in that event is: Copy Image Location.

To make the picture show, click "image" in the full reply screen, backspace out the http:// it types for you, then paste in the picture's address which already has the http bit.

Photobucket's image copy includes the image codes for forums so you don't need this step.

I believe you, too Bitsy, but see my post #10 above. Same thing happened when I clicked on your photo above in post #13. Got the horizontal box with properties, but not the rectangular box that listed pixels and other info, and that horizontal box's info cannot be copied.

DELPHI - will you please explain how to take a screen shot? I would like to send this series of comments to the guys who built my computer.

MYSTERY SOLVED!!

I CAN copy properties if I use Internet Explorer, but not with AOL. When I got my new computer, they must have installed a newer version of AOL than I had on my WIN XP computer. If I am using AOL as my browser, I cannot copy the code for Properties, but I can using IE.

WOW.....how bizarre.

It makes a lot more sense that it is the browser rather than the Windows version.
It is difficult to design a web page to work with all browsers.

So I guess it is because I use FF that I cannot do so. Interesting.

Using Firefox, I right click on the picture in post 25, choose "copy image location",

then in this full reply box click the "Image" button to put two IMGs in square brackets in the box and pop up a blank where I paste in the image location. I was careful not to unselect the "http://" before pasting so that got replaced with the same already in the image location. When finished, the text in the reply box looks like this:
{img}http://image address{/img} with square brackets instead of curly
Using Photobucket, the procedure is simpler because its "copy IMG codes" choice already includes the IMGs in square brackets - so you can simply paste instead of clicking "image".

To capture the screen on the clipboard in any version of windows, you press the "printscreen" key on the keyboard. If you do alt+printscreen, you only get the frontmost window rather than the whole screen.

Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all have the snipping tool for screen captures. The is one of the most handy and useable tools in the box. It will copy anything on the screen, you can resize it, add text, hilites, and save it as a Jpeg file. Done in about 10 seconds, have attached a copy of a snip as I was typing this.
