OK. I found the snipping tool, but if I snipped anything using AOL, it will not paste into either the Image button or the blank reply space. In order to copy anything from Facebook, I have to go to Facebook via IE and then I can just copy the properties as I was doing with WIN XP and paste in the image button. |

The snipping tool is found by Start, all programs, accessories, snipping tool. The snipping tool captures anything on your screen, and saves it as a JPEG file (or Gif or PNG ), this you save in a file in your documents or anywhere else you so desire. If it's on your screen you can make a copy of it (Trusteer Rapport guarded programs excepted ). I have no idea what you are trying to do with AOL, Facebook, or any other program you mention since I don't use any of them, mostly due to security issues. BJ, didn't they show you this stuff with your computer course when you bought that new computer ? Edited to say, The snipping tool is best accessed by a shortcut on your quick launch bar, that way you don't have to shut anything down or minimize to access it. Dialtone, I did find the snipping tool earlier today when Bitsy told me where it was, but I do not see how this saves any time if one wishes to post a photo obtained on Facebook or another site, here on WWS. You still have to snip it, save it to your own computer, then upload it to Photobucket and then post the code in the Image button. Fuzzy's was was much easier....copy the "properties" and post them in the image button, 2 steps instead of 4. |

Whatever works for you, as I mentioned I don't use Facebook or any other social media sites, so if you found a way to meet your objectives that works in 2 steps rather than 4, that's a good learning experience. |
