Back in August I purchased 2 pair of Calvin Klein skinny jeans two weeks apart. I had never worn them, but took the black pair with me 2 weeks ago when we went to the U.S. When I sat down, they came down to the bottom of my derriere. Thank goodness I was wearing black underpants. The second pair in brown still had the tags on them so i returned them today ...... no questions asked. When I told her how I discovered how they slip down, she told me to bring the pair I have worn back. I couldn't believe it, and told her I wore them for the better part of a day. I will not likely take them back, but it sure is nice to know there is no problem whatsoever in returning goods to Costco. Take care, Pat |

On Costco, this from my son... If zombies attack, go to Costco. They have walls, plenty of food and supplies, and the zombies need a Costco membership card to get in. |

I've seen people in the Fall returning perennials that didn't do well. I wouldn't have the nerve but it's nice to know they are willing to stand behind everything they sell. |

I bought them as well, Pat. I had to have them shortened though. I love the black ones, they fit well. I did buy the brown ones but there not so good a fit. |

Helen ...... Did yours slip down when say you sat down to eat? I love the look of them, but when we went out to eat, they were down as far as they could go at the back, and in the while that I wore them, every time I got up from a sitting position, I had to haul them up. I am sure I drove my friends mad as I kept saying "These darn pants won't stay up." AS IF they had not heard me say that before. oooh 02 I think I will take the ones I wore back since they told me I can. |

They did slip down a bit but not as much as you describe - I had to keep pulling them up but I put that down to losing so much weight. Now I've put a few pounds back on they don't do it. Very strange that happened to you. |

I have friends who bought a Costco computer that "misbehaved" a year and a half later. It woke up in the middle of the night and made the Windows startup sounds. This is caused by having it set to wake up on network activity, easily fixed. Anyway, Costco replaced it with a new and better computer. Another friend "borrowed" a costco yard blower and returned it for a refund 6 months later. I actually got a partial refund on a Michelyn tire from Costco, the first time any tire store ever paid any attention to a warranty. |

Nuts, I wish I had known. I bought a Blu-Ray player at Costco and tossed the receipt. After a couple months I realized that while it was capable of streaming movies, it was NOT capable of decoding closed captioning (for English language movies.) I assumed I was stuck with it as I am today. Rats. Edited by Trotsky, Oct 2 2013, 03:41 AM.

On the subject of jeans. I found a brand called Simon Chang that fit like a dream. I'm waiting for a red pair. |

We have long been Costco shoppers, but the one thing one needs to watch out for is expired packages of food, or wrapped packages that may be defectively wrapped. In the past year I have had to return two food items to Costco as even though they were still before the expiration period, they were both spoiled. Costco took them back, no questions asked, but before we left the store, the spoiled cheese package was back on the shelf! |

BJ, I have seen similar happen at a Costco in London. Montreal is no better when it comes to food. |

So far I have never run into any food that has been spoiled. However, a month ago I purchased Boursin cheese which has 2 containers in the package. I had finished one container when I thought to check the best before date, and it was going to be up in a week so I did not completely finish the second container. I check best before dates everywhere else, and guess I figured with the turnover they have nothing would have a date that close. Will check in future. Now I often look at the date on milk in our Loblaws by here, and it only has a few days left before expiry. Take care, Pat |

I found old food at Costco too. We are judicious now about going through the pile for the newest suitable date. It's most important for the pricier items like Smoked Salmon and the most fragile foods like Pastry. |
