The long awaited update to Windows 8, (Windows 8.1) is now available for download. Those running Windows 8 can access it through the Store app on the start screen. I would recommend doing a complete backup before updating, just in case something goes amiss. Have fun.

I tried the download today and it crapped out half way through!

I was using a 32" LCD as monitor at the time and coincidently its RGB input failed! I pluggedin a regular monitor and it was fine. ???

From start to finish, it took about 75 minutes on my desktop, quite a big download and lots of setting up and other stuff. I'm using it now on IE 11, and have set up my desktop to start on boot instead of the start screen. It will take a bit to get it all figured out, not really that much "obvious" change that I an see right now.
