That is so funny! Wish my 2 cats didn't run and hide when I bring out "the Beast". |

I've never had a cat that would stay in the same room, much less agree to be vacuumed. Sure wish it was bred into longhaired ones! |

Mine hated the sound of a vacuum cleaner worse than the growl of a pit bull. Their ears are too sensitive for them to be able to tolerate the cacophony. I can barely stand the Eureka Upright. It works beautifully but sounds like a jet at takeoff. Pictures are great fun BJ. Edited by Trotsky, Oct 20 2013, 12:18 AM.

Ive had one totally deaf cat and one partially deaf (Ruckus). Neither of them minded the vacuum but all my other cats hated the noise. Interestingly both Ruckus and Jacob were calmer than my other cats. Noises must really keep cats on the alert. |

My cat liked to sit on the vacuum cleaner while I vacuumed and was not at all happy to have to jump off when I went under the sofa or the bed. She also loved to sit on the coffee table and be vacuumed, sure saved having cat hair everywhere. When she was ready she used to throw herself on her back to let me do her tummy. |

Maybe someone should design a walk in vacuum stall for humans. Just think of all the water that would be saved. |

Certain body parts should be carefully kept out of the range of the suction devices. |

Our old Tom would allow a little bit of coat vacuuming. He was quite a shedder so it helped a lot to catch the hair right away. |

All my cats have hated the vaccuum and Sudsee recognises it before I switch it on and changes rooms. I have a Nilfisk, now about 10 years old which is excellent with cat hair from carpets, curtains etc. At the time it was expensive but worth its weight in fur. I try and put the fur outside for the birds to weave in their nests. |
