I need some feliway refills. My vet charges $60. for one. I found them on Amazon for $63 for SIX. but they don't ship to Canada from amazon.com, cant get them on amazon.ca. Does anyone else use them and know where I can find them reasonably inexpensively. edited to say: Sorry, I just checked on Amazon.ca and I can get them there for $90. + delivery which is still much better than my vet. They last for about 4 weeks but they do make a difference. Edited by angora, Nov 6 2013, 03:47 AM.

They are expensive, aren't they....They are sold in every big chain pet store here. Geez I wish I had known you use them, Angora. I just spent $28 for a bottle diffuser refill when we took our 14 minutes vacation last month, hoping it would calm the boys in the RV, but it was plugges in for only 1/2 hour and I would have been happy to give it to you. |

Thanks bj, very generous of you. I use it all the time..one upstairs and one down. It is to help calm Ruckus so that he wont torment Butter every minute of the day. He is young and wants to play, and he is rough. She is older and a bit arthritic and definitely doesn't want to play rough. we are going to visit family in TO for 5 days in mid Nov (will be attending Adrienne's Fur Ball where she raises money for her rescue organization) and seeing people around that. Our cat sitter comes twice a day but Butter will be on her own except for those visits so I want him as calm as we can get him. Thanks again for your thoughtful offer. |

I wonder if that would encourage Oscar and Bertie to like each other. |

It is cat pheromones and is used to calm them. I don't use the hand spray because it calms me too. Too calm. However you can buy the spray more cheaply than the plug in if you want to give it a try. But, it is just for calming, not liking. ;) |

I am an idiot. I should get that Feliway diffuser out of the RV and plug it in inside! Maybe it would calm Red and Blue down a bit. Either that or I need to cut my Xanax in tiny pieces.... So this afternoon a senior member of the garden club came by to check on the arrangement for tonight (she approved it) and to divvy up some spring bulbs we bought from a wholesaler. Afterwards we were having tea and blue got into the shopping bag full of bulbs and started hitting them around the living room. She thought it was so cute.... But....aren't all narcissis poisonous? Which is why squirrels and deer won't et them? |

Well that's a bit of a disappointment. I wonder what will finally make them like each other. I think Oscar really wants to curl up with another cat, he just doesn't know it and so he substitutes me. Before Bertie came to live here he lived with another cat and they curled up together, so I am sure he woud be willing. |

Once he's calmer maybe he will let down his fur and sleep with the other cat. It took several weeks but I have seen Ruckus and butter sleeping on the same bed. She will participate in some light play and he never tries to take away her food. It is a good deal calmer here. However, I ran out of it and in 3 days things returned to the armed standoff weve endured since Ruckus came. The order from Amazon is due Nov. 18 and we cant wait. We'll try to get 1 refill at local pet store to keep things manageable until the Amazon order arrives. Try it Fuzzy, I think it might help. It is fierce expensive though. Yeah, bj, you might want to try it in the house. Although with your open plan it might not be as effective since the plug ins only cover a certain space. Good luck to all of us. |

I just called around to the pet shops in town and they have a system which they say is the same, put out by NutriVet and it is much cheaper than Feliway. |
