Query about fundraising; Injured animals

First, this is not a request for funds, just asking for suggestions as to how to expand a fundraiser for an injured dog.

A co-worker of my sister started a FB page for a friend's young beagle who was badly injured when he tangled with a car's tires.
My reason for having any involvement with this is because the individual who started the page is someone we know. She has,
much to my surprise, managed to raise more than half the necessary amount, not bad after only 3 days. I would like to find a
way to help reach more people or organizations she might not have considered or, more likely, had time to contact. (She is very
involved with dog rescue.) If anyone has ideas please let me know. I did include it on my FB.
If not for this pet it would be useful for future reference while I contemplate where I want to put some of my time and efforts over
the next few years. Besides, I recall what is like to have injured pet and fear for it because of vet expenses.
All of this is new to me, especially when it comes to dogs, so my research is pretty slow.

If this is an inappropriate query please accept my apologies.

It is a perfectly appropriate query. The most important thing I guess is for the message to be spread to as many FB users as possibe, so make sure you ask people to share. There may be some local organisations who will help, we have one in our area that tries to provide that kind of assistance.

Thanks Fuzzy O, not having ever done anything so public I had no idea as to the correctness of sharing information on the same subject let alone suggesting that even the cost of a coffee would be appreciated. We did have a fund attached to the SPCA here but there have been recent rumblings about how it is administered as well as the dreadful cost of having to give up a well loved pet if one does manage to access those funds. Such situations do open one to the plight of people who have pets, love them, care for them and then have a whacking big vet bill that is insurmountable. Thank goodness the vet in this case said that putting the dog down was not an option! (Of course that is why funds were/are being raised) I will keep up with my FB updates.
