Last night I saw my new favourite tv show, called Getting On, starring Laurie Metcalfe. It looks like a real winner for me. The cast is strong, the humour poignant, the premise timely and I felt good about it, the way I do when something difficult is done well. On my server it is on Sunday night on BBC at 8 pm, I think. I was so glad to see it because most of what Ive seen this season just doesn't do it for me. The only other thing that I can get that's made a real impression is the James Spader showcase, and that's just because it's such a delight to watch Spader work. |

Bell wants an extra $10 for the BBCC bundle, now that I have heard this from you I may have to bow down to the system and get myself a present. |

Glad to hear your excitement for the show, Angora. I have it taped but haven't watched it Agreed about Spader but I am still enjoying Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod is now suffering an apoplectic rage at how we have destroyed our habitat; his amazement in learning that people have to purchase water to drink was worthy of an Emmy nomination. |

I have Sleepy Hollow on dvd, several episodes. I watched it twice and it didn't do anything for me. Maybe I wont get rid of them and will give it another try. |

It is pretty far out there, and definitely not for everyone but I find it divisionary from the usual TV fare. |

I wasn't crazy about Sleepy Hollow, the movie so I don't think I'd like the TV show. |

I can't remember the movie so I am not sure if they compare. Ichabod has been resurrected to the 21st century (memory intact) and is now battling the forces in the book of Revelations to prevent the apocalypse |

No, Bitsy I am a real 'out there' fan. Just look at the books I read. I don't know I just found it boring. I'll try again though 'cause I respect your opinion. But, not everything appeals to everyone. Even Helen t and I differ occasionally. ;) |
