I watched The Paperboy with Matthew McConaughy and Nicole Kidman on Demand. Although it was very well acted, it has left such indelible ugly images in my brain. Has anyone out there seen it? It's hard to believe McConaughy was once voted Sexiest man of the year. Not that I ever found him attractive.

Any movie with gratuitous animal cruelty.

HENRY, PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER...words fail me. The movie can only be described as brilliantly abhorrent.

Something about McConaughy is so distasteful or sleazy that whenever I see him I feel the urge to wash. Don't like him at all. Although he is definitely eye candy, if looking a bit anorectic lately, whenever I see him I get a mental image of the hillbilly people in DELIVERANCE.

Last saw him in the weakly "erotic" film, MAGIC MIKE. He added nothing.

I did not see THE PAPERBOY.

Exactly my thoughts, Trotsky. Very sleazy and disagreeable. Sunday night I was going through the On Demand movies and I am sorry that I watched this one. Made deliverance look like a Sunday afternoon picnic!

It must have been really creepy because I remember the chill I got from Deliverance and it was a bad one. The dueling banjos will haunt me forever.

Yes, Deliverance was terribly menacing it but there was a sort of justice playing out. It's always a problem for me when evil acts go unpunished.

I avoid horror films. Is the 'Paperboy' one of those?

I have never and never will watch 'Jaws'.

It's about a serial killer down in the southern swamps and almost all the characters are dead eyed or nasty. It's like a world without empathy, beauty, justice, or hope.
