We saw two new films the past few nights, GRAVITY AND American Hustle. I expected to really like Gravity and not care for American Hustle, but it was just the opposite. Gravity has very little plot, few characters, terrific special effects, but not much more. I found it boring. American Hustle had some of the best acting I have ever seen, and while one friend thought it got off to a slow start, she admitted it finally grabbed and held her interest. My family enjoyed it from the get go. |

Today I watched the Hobitts , the Destruction of Smaug.... and Saving Mr Banks i liked the Hobitt movie up until the end which I really hated and i mean that Having to wait a full year for the last episode irks me because who knows what can happen in a years time. Also watched A long Walk to Freedom the nelson Mandela story It was very good the actor who portrayed him did a very fine job. Winnie Mandela was really made to fit her character. she became evil involved with the neck ties burning of those who opposed her. The movie fitting considering that Nelson Mandela just passed away.... One movie I did like was "Saving Mr Banks" or The Mary Poppins author's story on how she came to be one of the most popular Disney Movies ever. The story was excellent Tom Hanks never disappointing..... |

I saw Gravity as well and while it didn't bore me, it didn't really draw me in. |

Gravity was interesting, but also, didn't really draw me in. -- So much for gravity! Lately, there seems to be more good movies being released, and because there have been so few good ones, we do plan to see the latest ones that are recommended. I want to see Twelve Years a Slave, though they say it is difficult to watch. |

I saw it and it is very difficult to watch, the beating scenes are horrific. I cried through them... it is hard to comprehend the utter cruelty against another person..... |
