My first thought was that I would never put coloured nails on a cat, but then I thought how pretty bue glitter would look on Bertie, who is a white long hair. |

I tried them once on Jacob - a cat who would not settle for anyone to clip his nails. One of our vets refused to even try again. Not too surprisingly, he wouldn't allow us to put the soft nails on. Over the years we've just adjusted to ragged furniture. If anything is really precious we put it in John's father's trunk he had in the war. :) |

Those soft paws look ok. Are they glued on? From day one I have trimmed my 2 cats claws. They let me without to much fuss 1089 |

Just out of curiosity BJ are they fixed? Sometimes those kitty hormones cause them to become wilder that their cousins in the jungle.... Talk to your Vet ask if there is anything you can give them like a Prozac treat.....but seriously have you considered giving them something to curtail their over excitement? They should calm down as they get older. |

And that is one of the two very important reasons we no longer want to be cat owners. We too lost a lovely newly upholstered Victorian wingback chair within a month, nearly all the tops of the record jackets and at least one sofa. Oh, and the fronts of two $1000 speakers. We eventually got to the point where we would only buy cheap junk, which we still have. 102 Our theory became, if they are going to destroy it, no sense having anything good. We now play with OTHER people's cats when we visit. Summary: We LOVE cats but they are just not worth the trouble. Edited by Trotsky, Jan 3 2014, 03:38 AM.

They love you unconditionally and that makes up for a lot. |

laugh123 OO I think they it is the reverse, they know they are loved unconditionally. Really. My sister has a cat. I call her the queen. Just struts around the house like she owns it. One day a nephew asked if she could look after his dog for an hour. The dog is big. A setter or something like that with a tail that can knock you over. The cat doesn't like dogs. So they separated the cat with one of those kiddie fences. Somehow the cat got around it or over it and attacked the dog. The dog then decided to chase the cat. My sister got in between them and the cat turned around and attacked my sister. Scratched her and bit her on the leg. So much for unconditional love. She also hurt her arm badly by banging into something during the free for all melee. The dog? The owner prides himself in teaching the dog tricks when he should be just training the dog to sit down and shut up. Anyway my sister asked me for a solution. I told her to put some lead in the ear of the dog and the cat. With a gun. |
