Ive had cats who were unique. One would grab the meat out of the frying pan and drag it away to eat underneath the table. We cured that one. Another would attack anyone coming up our driveway and this was a big mean cat who acted like a scared kitten when I scolded him (but, only me). We never tamed him and had to put him down after he ran after and attacked one of my son's friends on the street next to ours. So, I know difficult cats. Red and Blue seem to be adorable, loving pussycats and happy in their home. Try the spray, try an trainer. You are the couple who can make their lives a joy ... and I think they can do that for you. :) |

Your story about the cat attacking anything on the driveway, reminded me of a cat that we had! I was looking out the window and noticed a stray kitten walking along in the gutter. Then, out the blue. a German Shepherd came chasing after the kitten. The kitten fled under my car. It happened that our cat, a full grown male and a big fella as cats go, was laying under the car. The Shepherd had run up to the car and trying to get at the kitten. The, without warning, the Shepherd was greeted by our cat, who came flying out, fangs ashowing, claws aslashing, hair on end. What a surprise for the dog! He took off like he was shot out of a cannon. That kitten sure grew up fast! |

I can't recall if you said the kitties were fixed? Why when you go out don't you crate them? Keep them confined to a space you are giving them full run of the house.. they are very exciteable full of energy young cats And i agree with the rest I had shelves like those in a previous walk in closet and you could sit on them without them collapsing. two cats should not have brought them down that easily. Darcie those two kitties would never do well in a barn catching mice. Something would get them first before they caught anything. That's why people think that dropping cats off on a country road will survive couldn't be further from the truth cayotes foxes other rodents would have them before they had a fighting chance. i had a cat like this once they do settle down as they get older and because they have a partner in crime you get twice the mischief.. I have to admit I am very lucky with my cat Miss Lucy, she is such a well behaved lady..... All she does is demand to have her head scratched be brushed at least 2xs per day and pay attention to her.... oh yes and her special blanket with her towel on top along with another little blanket on the side she doesn't like sleeping on the floor so you have to give up half your bed, she snores so once in a while give her a poke...... laugh123 otherwise she's great!! BJ I would seriously try the crating otherwise your home will be a disaster area constantly.....but they are cute!! |

Those are bad shelves to have in earth quake country. As well, any heavy bookcases need to be secured to a wall and hot water tank strapped against a wall too. Plus any heavy objects hanging on walls such as mirrors and art work need extra secure fastening, especially if they hang above where people might be sitting or sleeping. But one supposes that Red and Blue have already tested anything like that. |
