One morning when I opened the curtains on our front window, the neighbors cat was siting in our tree staring at our window. I think maybe he saw the reflection of himself and thought it was another cat. I grabbed my camera and took his pic. I thought it was an unique pic and one you would never get a cat to pose for. Did he come down by himself? It's not fully understood why cats climb telephone poles and get panic stricken or something. That is a nice picture. I once won a photo contest with a picture of a cat peering out of a dark hole. It was in the summer at a ski resort. The cats are on their own there in the summer. They just hang out and catch whatever happens to be around. In the winter they just move indoors. |

If I had claws as good as theirs, I'd climb too. |

We once had a cat who was forever climbing the pine trees at the cottage. Naturally, his claws caused the tree to bleed some pine gum. After the first couple climbs he would always get a belly full of pine gum which he would lick obsessively until it was gone. He never seemed to connect his own antics in climbing the tree with the annoyance of having to clean himself. Perhaps he just wasn't the smartest cat in the woods. |

Perhaps he felt the annoyance was worth the experience? Humans are like that aren't they.? They get drunk, have a hangover, and then do it all over again? |

Perhaps he loved the taste of pine. (I love the smell.) |
