This new HBO series has been getting some good reviews (of course we live near Seattle, home of some major high tech firms) so DH and I decided to take a look.

Watched the first two episodes, and this series, IMHO, has promise. Quite an intelligent show.
I find it really hard to get into a show with a lot of repulsive characters, but the realistic portrayal of the corporate world, and the intellect of the dialogue makes it worth a try.

We are watching it and getting some laughs. The first episode was the best.
I think the show will descend into over-zaniness and thus not last long with the public.

I can see they were working towards THE BIG BANG THEORY but are missing the mark. Firstly they are going to need a PENNY.

We will stick with it. Maybe it will bet more appealing.

Yes BJ, I agree that these characters are not exactly endearing.

My daughter was just on a two day seminar in Banff Alberta. All the high flyers were there from the I.T. world in the silicon Valley. She was somewhat overwhelmed with all the $$ these people in the industry make. She met a fellow from Vancouver island that came from a family of Buskers. He's 38 has no formal education, but developed the source code for Nasa! He's now formed his own I.T. Co. in San Fransisco employing 35 people!! Another girl aged 36 from Sask. has a company worth 100 mil, also in the Silicon Valley. I've always said "people are born with a business sense" which appears to be the case with the first dude. The girl has an MBA from Harvard, and had an interest in the I.T. world!
