I must have over 20 insect bites from the last few days of gardening. They itch like the dickens. Anyone have any suggestions. So bad I cannot sleep! |

Cortisone cream...over the counter. BUT, make sure you have no ticks, especially if there are deer on Whidbey. Watch also for a characteristic bullseye rash indicative of Lyme Disease. Edited by Trotsky, May 17 2014, 01:27 AM.

Try the sap from a tomato plant. Just break a stem off, and rub the sap on the bite! |

And here's a recommendation for borage. I usually dab on some baking soda paste. http://books.google.ca/books?id=FaDJID7mPTEC&pg=PA258&lpg=PA258&dq=tomato+sap+soothes++insect+bites&source=bl&ots=9RlLDdS30C&sig=Lm1Yu2SQWCmZSk1pStgjjWq5sQE&hl=en&sa=X&ei=-Rl2U5uQHofZoATl94HoCQ&ved=0CDIQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=tomato%20sap%20soothes%20%20insect%20bites&f=false |

Tomato plants make me break out in eczema so the sap might do more harm than good for some people. |

Thats true! I'm very allergic to penicillin. Tried it once and almost died! And that was in the day that allergies had yet to be invented, |
