Sir Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs) wrote this song more than 50 years ago. Apparently he is quite the composer. This is lovely played by the Dutch violinist Andre Rieu who does a beautiful job with the entire Orchestra. Watching an earlier interview with Sir Anthony Hopkins I learned he is a vegetarian does not smoke or drink alcohol and remains in tip top shape for his 75 years... Listen it is lovely......And the Waltz Goes On! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M57Fi19vcSI#t=347 |

Isn't it though!! It is hauntingly beautiful. I could see this song being played at a soiree .. A masked ball.... A couple (unrequited love) meet dance to this passionate waltz....it's old beautiful.. I have played it several times sent it to frinds. Same comment Who would have thought!! On another note I was listening to Andre Rieu play Adios Nonino a song by one of my favourites Astor Piazzolla, again another haunting beautiful song. Composed by Piazzolla for his father as he was dying. A tribute, but there is nothing better than to hear Astor Piazzolla play his own compositions. (starts 13:40 ) outstanding!! Here is a concert a few years ago.... Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAx3kxeytVA |
