My all time favorite was a British series called "Butterflies." Anyone else remember it?

I have to go with ARE YOU BEING SERVED, with a close second of THE BIG BANG THEORY. Those are the only shows I can re-watch 3, 4 or more times each.

You should break this up into sitcoms and drama BJ. Sitcom I'll go along more or less with Trotsky, although Vicar of Dibley and To the Manor Born would be in there too. I think my mot favourite TV series would be All Creatures Great and Small, with the early Helen.

All In The Family, Maude, The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, WKRP, Rosanne. I liked the Big Bang Theory but the laugh track is so loud I can't stand it and that seems to be true of most sit coms. these days. Waiting for God, Fawlty Towers were good too.

Thank you haili, I forgot about Fawlty Towers and that brought to mind Red Dwarf, maybe my all time fav.

I've never seen Red Dwarf. Is it a comedy or sci. fi.? One of the actors is in Coronation St.

I loathed Seinfeld, but LOVED Fawlty Towers, Monty Python's Flying Circus, WKRP and All in the Family. We also like Modern Family, but that is only comedy currently on the air that we enjoy.

Red Dwarf was a sci fi comedy. I never liked Seinfeld either. I tried but .... no.

Not sure if this was comedy or drama, but I LOVED Being Erica, a Canadian series, and our son has been buying me the DVDs for holiday gifts.

John and I liked Being Erica too, at first. He continued to like it. I thought it got out of hand. There was a much better Canadian series called Wonderland before that one with a sterling cast about neophyte lawyer thrown in to court helping the poor and indigent with a group of eccentric lawyers. Did you happen to see that one? Excellent acting and writing with some of Canada's best involved.

No one else for Vicar of Dibley?
Most favourite comedy show, but not a sitcom: Whose Line is it Anyway?
