Trotsky.......thought you might enjoy this. I love this, Lensky's aria from Eugene Onegin I have heard Placido Domingo sing it but Breslik seems to do it more justice maybe the emotional level I nearly end up blubbering listening.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGqVGsIFDtY#t=82 Posted Image Edited by Alli, Jul 8 2014, 09:25 AM.

He's wonderful. My God, that looks like a homoerotic version of Onegin. I've seen the old Met production ...creaky, old fashioned, pompous, and dull. And then a Russian Company (either the Bolshoi or Kirov/Mariinsky?) Also boring. Cute story: We had a friend who make it his life's work to be taken to theater on somebody else's dime. He knew nothing about opera and cared less but he had a couple friends with Met subscriptions year after year. But it seemed every time he was asked to go it was for the same opera, Eugene Onegin. Year after year he complained but dutifully went. The hysterical part was that, without any attempt at humor he mispronounced the opera: Eugene One Gin. We never spilled the beans and let him go on but privately we said "Nic is going to see the opera about the Russian who couldn't hold his liquor." He's dead now but he's probably enjoying a celestial presentation of One Gin. I hope they bring this production to New York...the audience would likely be all men of varying ages. I don't think we have Munich in our cards. I checked the Met schedule...they did it last year with Rolando Villazon as Lenski. And it seemed to be a new production. Maybe next year:
