One day last week I ran into a friend i used to work with. As we chatted she mentioned one of her sisters is having issues with dementia and that they had taken her for a treatment - biophoton therapy (proper name?). That consists of holding two rods that appear to be made of glass and are hooked up to fibre optic cables that somehow emit light into the body through the rods in hands. Well, I thought as I watched my friend speak, sounds like quackery to me and should I say anything? No, I didn't. Friend was telling me how energized she felt herself after a treatment with this therapy. Nice, I smile and nod while thinking that I would google this one later and say nothing for now. Having googled, I see that this might be something real after all ! The theory goes that the light helps the body heal itself and acts particularly well in areas of illness or damage. Diabetics with side effects from that seem to benefit significantly from this treatment. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2957070/
