I put this link here because these are a favourite for me at Christmas and because I think it is a great idea to use the bottom of a glass like that for cookies. Going to try that at Christmas. http://happyhooligans.ca/big-soft-ginger-cookies-2/ |

Now you did it Darcie. Here I am endeavouring to cut down on the number of different cookies and just make a lot more of the main ones, but I too love the pattern on the bottom of the glass and have that same one on the bottom of a crystal glass. However, I am afraid if they spread a lot they might be too large so if that doesn't work, I found a liqueur glass at Kim's that is plain in the middle with a knobby pattern around the edge. Will try them both - but not today. I would use butter rather than margarine. Thanks. Take care, Pat |

Extra ginger for me...I like ginger snaps with a BITE. All my glassware is prosaic and boring, The only thing I could use for pretty cookies is a crystal vase but that ain;t gonna happen because it is TIFFANY's. <Friend got divorced and gave away her wedding gifts that had bad karma...I got the TIFFANY vase 4_1_112 (many hundreds of dollars.)> Edited by Trotsky, Nov 24 2014, 12:40 AM.

I like to put a little morsel of candied ginger in the centre of these cookies. I like the dash of extra heat. I also use rounded or heaping spoons when measuring the spices. |
