3 lbs lean ground beef

1 finely chopped onion

1-1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp savory

1/4 tsp steak spice

1 cup dry fine bread crumbs

2 beaten eggs

4 oz tomato juice

Mix well and cook in 350 oven for 1 hour.

I bake it in a 9 x 13 pan as I like lots of glaze on mine.

Make sure it is cooked through.

During the last 20 minutes cover with this glaze.

2/3 cups of ketchup

4 tbsp prepared mustard

4 tbsp brown sugar.

Mix well

This recipe makes enough for me to freeze half.

I just put it in the oven, serve it with creamed corn and mashed potatoes.

I like the idea that this is baked in an 11 x l3 pan making it easier to cut up and quicker to cook. Looks good Darcie, I will have to try this. My daughter who hates most meats, likes meatloaf.

Sounds good. I have never put nutmeg or cloves in mine.
