Since I am without a stove currently, I pondered what to make for dinner and stumbled upon this recipe which I enjoyed and will make again.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe:
(Makes 6 servings)

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 8 hours
Total time: 8 hours 5 mins
Serves: 6

I love slow cooker recipes that I can just throw everything in in the morning, and let the slow cooker do the work! This chicken is moist and flavorful. Both my picky eaters devoured it and I am sure your family will too!
Ingredients

4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (mine were frozen)
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup honey
⅔ cup white distilled vinegar
¼ cup Sprite or lemon lime soda
3 Tablespoons minced garlic
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 Tablespoons corn starch

Instructions

Place chicken breasts in slow cooker.
Combine all other ingredients, except corn starch, in a bowl and pour over chicken.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred in another bowl.
Whisk corn starch in liquid in the slow cooker.
Add shredded chicken back to the crock pot.
Serve over rice.
If desired, garnish with sesame seeds.

The price for Osso Bucco is $15.41 per kilogram.

That's 2.2 pounds.

So divide 2.2 into $15.41 and the price is about 7.00 per pound.

Isn't it pretty much the same with all meat?

Olive oil, I am pretty sure most chickens we eat are slaughtered at less than six weeks old.

I was told by a rural person that they cry for their Moms when taken away and caged. He said it haunted him. There's so much else out there to eat.

The other thing to remember about veal is that it is a byproduct of the dairy business. Bull calves are pretty much useless and unless eaten as veal would simply be killed at birth.

The problem I see with eating meat is not that the animals are killed but the deplorable conditions they are kept in and inhumane methods of slaughter.
