Looks like most people on WWS would starve is they obeyed this injunction, judging by what's for dinner. |

I am not guilty of eating too many of these foods, but for the ones I do ingest, I'll say the same thing I say every time someone posts something like this ...... everything in moderation. Yes, I am sure if someone was to eat processed meat for instance daily they would be in big trouble, but once in a while should not be a problem. Take care, Pat |

I'm gonna slice up some apples and soak them in soda with added aspartame...I'll eat it with a McDonald's burger covered in extra margarine. Dessert will be Cocoa Puffs soaked in coconut milk. That should do the trick. |

I now never eat processed meats, just doesn't do my body good, even just one time makes my BP rise like mad and my tummy hurt. I also react negatively to soy anything. |

I went out to a supper with a group of ladies. The turkey meal was preordered and when I got my plate it was completely covered by gravy. My daughter said why didn't you send it back, I am a slow thinker I should have because I scrapped what I could off and only ate half of the rest I am still really sick and that was last Wednesday. I don't agree with everything in moderation, Gluten of any sort makes me very sick. My husband is type 2 diabetic and he adheres to everything in moderation except his idea is to eat a boughten pie and eat it all in 2 days. He takes the pills and the shots of insulin. But his sister keeps preaching everythink in moderation. If he gets sick she won't be stuck with looking after him will she. |

I've known many people who lived into their 90s, and ate anything and everything they wanted in moderation. A McDonald's burger and fries every once in a while won't do you any harm, nor will the occasional dessert, pie, bowl of ice cream, or a heaping pile of mashed potatoes and gravy. One of our "older" friends passed away at 94, and she loved to have a rum and coke at any opportunity that called for a drink, in fact she usually had a couple. On the flip side of the coin, many of the people I used to work with and friends I grew up with, have died in their 50s and 60s. A lot of them watched their diets, listened to their doctors, and did all the "right" things, but they are just as dead as if they hadn't. If you have genetics that indicate you're going to die early, you probably will. Others with parents and blood relatives living into their 90s will probably have the same fate as their relatives. Live and be happy, nobody gets out of here alive. |

I eat to feel good, the stuff I don't eat is because it makes me sick or hurts- even in moderation. To some moderation is 4 beers a day on the weekends and 2 on weekdays. To others one beer on Friday. Moderation is a term that is subjective. |

Mostly, we try and stay away from the bad foods, but as long as it doesn't make you feel bad, and if it's something you really crave, then a tidbit now and then should not hurt. We have pancakes once a week, but they are healthy pancakes with real maple syrup! I always feel the need to have something with them, so sometimes it is an egg and other times it is one piece of bacon crisply fried. |
