I've known many people who lived into their 90s, and ate anything and everything they wanted in moderation. A McDonald's burger and fries every once in a while won't do you any harm, nor will the occasional dessert, pie, bowl of ice cream, or a heaping pile of mashed potatoes and gravy. One of our "older" friends passed away at 94, and she loved to have a rum and coke at any opportunity that called for a drink, in fact she usually had a couple. On the flip side of the coin, many of the people I used to work with and friends I grew up with, have died in their 50s and 60s. A lot of them watched their diets, listened to their doctors, and did all the "right" things, but they are just as dead as if they hadn't. If you have genetics that indicate you're going to die early, you probably will. Others with parents and blood relatives living into their 90s will probably have the same fate as their relatives. Live and be happy, nobody gets out of here alive.
It's all in the genes

Just don't obsess one way or another.

Remember it is all subjective and how much you are aware.

We love to obsess about food and exercise, because it gives us some notion of control. But as Dialtone has observed, genes trump both of them. Not a popular idea, but true.

I avoid most of the stuff on that list not for health reasons, but because it tastes like crap.
