http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/e-coli-tainted-beef-recalled-days-after-meat-tested-positive-1.2873029?cmp=rss How can anyone find this acceptable? Wonder what the current supporters of the Harper regime think of this level of competence in their administration. |

It's an opportunity for improvement, just like it would be under a Trudeau regime, or a Mulcair regime. There have been E coli issues long before Harper was elected, and there will be E coli issues in mass produced foods long after Harper is gone. Food processing will never be perfect, but a recent Conference Board of Canada survey that showed Canada had one of the best food safety systems among 17 developed economies. |

The CFIA has always been a joke. Sort of like the SIU. That said. E coli is destroyed by cooking properly. There is no need to recall. Durgan. |

What is wrong with the Conference Board now, please enlighten us. The U of Guelph a few years ago ranked Canada #4 (tied with the U.A ) in food safety, http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/canadas-food-safety-system-ranked-worlds-best-1970306.htm Canada's Food Safety System Ranked World's Best |

Self promotion. They hid the point of origin. Most of the frozen meat and fish one has to look with a magnifying glass to find most is from China. I hold the CFIA responsible. I don't even believe China should be exporting food. |
