This is my method of making whole wheat buns. The quantity is about 12 medium sized buns.
Ingredients:
Three cups whole wheat flour.
Teaspoon of yeast.
Teaspoon of white sugar.
Teaspoon of salt.
1\8 teaspoon of baking powder.
1.25 cups of milk.
Heat milk slightly warm.Combine all the dry ingredients and mix dry. Add milk and knead into a ball. Shape into convenient sized buns. Let rise for an hour then bake at 400F for 20 minutes. The product is a leavened bun of good texture.Very similar to an English muffin.
