We are looking for a twin bed for Bob to replace an extra long old Beautyrest that was built by Noah. Plus we can use the extra 6 inches in the room. So here's a cheapy "box spring" from Amazon that you have to put together. What is your opinion on it's design, regarding the top metal "slats." We want some "springiness" to what is often only a euphemism for a box spring that is only a BOX. Do you think the pictured box spring operates like leaf springs rather than rock solid steel struts? After years and years we have decided that the perfect bed is ultra soft and a real box spring will help. I read nearly 100 reviews and not a single person commented on this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NPVCPRM/ref=pe_1675050_140807670_em_1p_0_lm Click on TWIN size...$89 and free shipping. They seem to be rods rather than slats. I would surmise that there is not much spring at all. I have an extra long double and have to buy sheets that are queen size to accommodate the length required. |
