I would love to own one but don't think I could justify the cost. Just watching the videos makes my heart beat faster| I have been making smoothies a few times a week with a borrowed blender (mine bit the dust) and often dream of creating soups, flours, etc. But would I really keep that up? I guess I know myself too well. |

A good blender does the same job and a lot less costly. I use my blender a lot, even make almond flour etc. |

I got a $15.00 dollar modern blender from China and the best ever. I also have an expensive Bamix portable for juicing. All the NA portables burn up and quit with use. I bought a Ninja desktop from Canadian Tire and it is junk. A good blender is my life. The Vitamix is too expensive and China ones do as well. |

The Oster that I use now seems to just chug along and leaves a lot of fibre to be discarded in the bottom of the unit. I guess I am seduced with the videos that show the vitamix turning even peels and seeds into a drinkable smoothie. I would love to find a second hand one but they are hard to come by. I am resisting so far! |

Yes I own a Vita mix, does a good job, I do like it but think a blender is almost as good. Does soup get hot if you blend it long enough in a blender? It does in the vita mix, a nice feature. Use it for smoothies all the time, but am sure a blender will blend smoothies just as well. |

I've got a pretty good approximation with my new 950 Watt Kenmore Blender. I think it could mix concrete. It sounds like a jet plane though. Edited by Trotsky, Jul 10 2015, 04:27 AM.
