Trotsky plumbers here and electricians for that matter charge 125.00 per hour. I finally found a plumber that does good work ( I thought). He installed a new garburator for us (450.00) this supposedly was the price of the unit. I had a leak under my sink, minute, but nevertheless there. He supposedly fixed that as the plastic pipe had a crack in it, after 37 years of usage. This stint cost 735.00 for parts and TWO hours labour! That night after running the dishwasher I checked below and you guessed it, still water! i called him back, he questioned me, as I'd cleaned up the water. I got down on my all fours and said feel this pipe there's water on it. He did and agreed, then he tried several avenues so he wouldn't have to replace the part, there was still water. He finally replaced the offending part. We were anticiipating another invoice for the part, however I guess he'd charged us enough previously, and did miss the diagnosis the first time.

Forgot to add I consider a dishwasher a necessity after washing dishes " by hand" on a farm three times per day for 15 years! Mother was the cook, I did the clean up! We always had hired men for spring and harvest, thus lots of dishes with three full meals per day ~ not my idea of fun! |

Two days to put in handrails? I'll bet two turtles could do it faster.
I don't doubt that, Darcie. Edited by Trotsky, Aug 7 2015, 05:07 AM.

Angora unfortunately the closer you are to central Toronto the higher the price for any work around the house. |
