I was just about to hit the 'like' button. I have very definite memories of an orange bug driven by an ardent NDP supporter during the BC 1972 election. Not so much recall as to who it was.

You were in B.C. then Blizzard, so was I. I was working for Ernie Hall in Surrey. Where were you at?

I was in in Prince Rupert, my mother was the campaign manager for the Skeena NDP candidate - he won. I know, a pretty easy win for that area atvthevtime but still hard work. I helped with delivering pamphlets to homes - cannot believe we were allowed to do that even if in pairs! I was a teen.

Is a political win ever easy? Look at what Dix did last election in BC ! Thoroughly disenchanting. They gave it away.

1972 must have been a banner NDP year - I was canvassing for the NDP in a Calgary Nose Hill by election while working a summer job with a major oil company.
