I'm back to aussie weightloss breakfast. 2 weetbix or 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 cup soy milk, 1 fruit serve ( strawberries have just come in) and real coffee.

We did for quite the while until I found a sale: 2 lbs/$6.99. I bought 3 jugs. But during that time we cheated and used brown sugar. Flavorless boiled grains is not my cup of tea, or coffee. laugh123 . Doesn't delicious tofu make more sense? |

Natto is supposed to have merit due to the fermentation process. Few establishments sell natto. It is common in Japan in the value added counters in all supermarkets. I simply soak, and pressure cook the soy beans then blend with a birt of molasses. I eat some every morning for breakfast, and have been doing so for probably 40 years. I have made all rhe soy concoctions and prefer my metho for its simplicity. Soy beans have a bad rep amongst whites. They imagine it causes cancer. My method. I am cooking some now. About a ten day supply. http://www.durgan.org/URL/?FHVFT 10 November 2014 Processing Soy Beans One liter of dried soy beans was made into a puree of five liters.About 250 ml of molasses was added to mask the soy flavor. A bowl of these beans is ingested for my daily breakfast. The liter storage containers are frozen until required. The beans will keep about seven days before molding in the refrigerator. Method: Washed several times, boiled for one hour, drained and washed.Allowed to soak in water for 12 hours.Washed and rinsed, placed in a colander for pressure cooking with steam. Pressure cooked at 15 PSI for one hour. Soy beans don’t turn to mush with cooking. After removal from the pressure cooker, mixed with more water and 250 ml of molasses, plus the water left in the pressure cooker. Beat into a slurry with the hand blender.Stored in liter plastic containers and frozen until required. |

I don't think the fear was that soy caused cancer, it was that the phytoestrogens in soy might be contributing to the amount of estrogen in a woman's body, and estrogen has been linked to breast cancer. |

The evidence on soy is incredibly confusing. For every study showing harm, there is another one showing beneficial effects. However, the evidence is too weak and inconsistent to conclude that moderate amounts of soy cause harm in adults. |
