Things will remain so as long objectives of the Muslim faith aren't pursued. As their numbers increase, and they gain more political power Muslims will exert pressure to bring about changes such as Sharia law! When this starts, discord is bound to rear its ugly head! |

Well, we did have the conservative regime inflicting their laws, or trying to. The Supreme Court reminded them of the existing laws and they were zapped. If we can be blindsided by the conservatives, it was an awakening and the sharia has no hope in hell. Enough of us are awake and watching, was a painful experience. |

I wish I had your faith! We are under siege and it appears to me, much like Nero fiddling while Rome burns. |

If you were someone who had lived under Sharia law and you came to live where it did not exist and you had more freedom, how would you react. Knowing many Muslim refugees I have to say that none that I know want to go back to that, and have to say that the largest majority are men. The women also appreciate the freedom but have difficulty believing in themselves to make their own decisions. I believe a lot in human nature and the need to be free and to have choices. This is not anything difficult. I am leery of any radicals, be they Christian, Muslim or any other faith who try to inflict their beliefs on others. They are in the minority and it is up to us to be vigilant and to educate and show people that having choices is more beneficial than having restrictions. It is not a matter of faith but a matter of being aware of what happens when people come here generations later. |

Maybe a lot of us are basking in the glow of a new and fresh government (federally) It is the relief of living under a more positive regime that lifting our spirits. Pehaps. |

I remember the country was all aglow when Harper unseated John Chretien. I wonder when the glow will wear off in this case. its like waiting for the other shoe to drop! |

Do you you not remember Jean Chretien and his golf course scandal? Canadians, coast to coast were sick of his plundering and voted for Harper to put an end to that! |

I remember a lot of broken promises; axe the tax springs to mind and the little red book was full of them, yet I didn't mind Cretien as much as Harper. |

I have never minded anyone as much as Harper, I do believe he may have spoiled trust for a future PM from Alberta. |

I equated Harper with Hitler and I don't think I was too far, he was really scarry but I made a deal with a conservative on here not to call him that. But I still think I was right |

Hitler had his whole Officer Corp trembling in fear! Harper didn't even have any midget hockey teams afraid to play against his son's hockey team. Harper, even if he aspired to emulate Hitler, never played in the same league. |
