We have all seen these plug in air freshener doohickeys:

How long does a bottle of the fragrance last? Do you use it until the bottle is empty, or does the usefulness disappear earlier than that?

(I started with Linen-Lilac, which is okay but just bought 2 refills of cinnamon-apple which is a fragrance I like better.)

Here's a disheartening quote from someone who was trying to beat the system by refilling his bottles:

He bought his scented oils cheap at Walmart and filled the bottles.
