9 Things IKEA Does That Could Make Anyone Lose Their Mind

About seven months ago, I decided to take a leap of faith (alongside my girlfriend) and move from a small Midwestern town to Los Angeles, with no job or prospects and everything we owned in the back of a Nissan Altima. As you can imagine, the back of a Nissan Altima doesn't fit very much luggage, let alone furniture, so we moved cross country with nothing to sit or sleep on.

Furthermore, with no job (i.e. income) little money could be spared for such items, and we found ourselves at IKEA quickly.

1. You're told, "It's cheaper, because you pick it out of a warehouse, take it home and build it yourself," which sounds harmless if you've haven't experienced this hell before now.

Hilarious but so real.

That's pretty funny.

"Who doesn't know not to poop in a display toilet in the middle of a giant retailer? Seriously: WHO?! Who at one point either pooped or peed in the middle of an IKEA store, into a display toilet and set the precedent that this signage needs to be on display?! I think I'm going crazy–crazy enough to poop right here in this toilet! They say, 'Please use the toilets in the restaurant,' instead of 'DO NOT USE THIS TOILET!' That leaves the option to use this toilet wide open, and I'm crazy aren't I?"

If the sign wasn't there somebody would use that toilet.

As for constructing the furniture. I have bought cabinets and stuff from Canadian Tire similar to IKEA stuff. Once you get the hang of it, there's nothing to putting it together. It's actually ingenious.

It's ingenious JUNK.
(I am not speaking of Canadian Tire with which I have no experience. With IKEA you get what you pay for (or less than what you pay for.))

The stuff is crap, cheaply made and ugly, sold en masse to people who can only afford crap.
