Trudeau, Taxes and Economy

Economy is not Trudeau's forte...

The federal budget watchdog says the Liberals’ tax-bracket changes will drain on average about $100 million more per year from the public treasury than the government expects.

Some truths about Trudeau’s performance in Davos
http://www.newstalk770.com/2016/01/20/trudeau/
Our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just delivered a speech to the World Economic Forum. After watching Leonardo DiCaprio’s speech slamming the “corporate greed” of those tremendous employers in the energy sector, I didn’t think I could possibly feel more nauseated. I thought wrong.
….
The Prime Minister seems to have mistaken the World Economic Forum for a place where one goes to learn basic concepts in economics. Most Canadians can appreciate the fact that he’s not going to abandon his perch as the “touchy-feely” sunny ways leader, but the least he could do is not be blissfully unaware of certain things that are really important to the people who make this world a better place with their giant corporations and their world-improving product. High on the list among those things is something called RETURN ON CAPITAL. No credible investor in the Silicon Valley of Canada would put their cash into a company thinking first about the diversity of the organization.

The show must go on is a common phrase.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's 100% certain.

The mail must go through as well.

But for you to say that a certain event in health would have happened is not only nonsensical, it's ridiculous and a cheap shot as well.
Yeah, Campy, but you doubled down on the saying when you responded...." of course not' when the question was posed, "would the theatres be closed". oooh 02

As usual, this one goes over my head since I never mentioned the word 'health'.

You just can never ever admit to being wrong. Oh well, only seven more days.

Bitsy. You are slipping. Badly.

Your words. 5th from the left.

Great that Trudeau reinstated health care for refugees. Under Harper's plan, Canada could be suffering the same fate.

What do you mean by seven more days?

No, Campy, I may well be slipping because I forgot how mixed up your post are. You segue into health care for refugees from talking about the weather closing theatres.

If a country is in a state of debt, the words "tax cut" by any politician of any party should be regarded as TREASON.
From the speech to the Throne.Canada.

'The Government will, as an immediate priority, deliver a tax cut for the middle class.
Like I said, TREASON.

Let's do it right: tax the NOBLES.

I’m surprised he has to ask, after all Trudeau said he was open and transparent didn't he?
The Conservative shadow Cabinet critic for environment and climate change has taken the party’s “taxpayers’ watchdog” nickname to heart and filed his first written House of Commons question to the government—asking how much the government spent on the UN climate change conference in Paris last month.

Canada owes the world climate a lot. No money was spent on helping it for too many years under cpc who blew the wad left by previous libs on fake lakes and have left Canada indebted. Most Canadians prefer the real thing and if it takes spending a few bucks to have as many politicians as possible to be informed and onside on environmental issues then we are still only playing catch-up.

They did tax the Nobles.

But it wasn't enough to cover the tax cuts given to the middle class.

Here's the middle class. Oct 10, 2015 - The unofficial definition: The Liberals' middle class tax cuts would apply to individuals earning a pre-tax income of $44,700 to $89,401.

So that's for one individual. for two it would be 89400 to 178800.

All I can say is "I wish".

For the lower class? They are expected to work their way up to the middle class.

No we don't, our contribution is small... and plenty of money was spent under the CPC..One of Flaherty’s budgets included 4.5 billion to combat climate change and protect our natural environment along with restoring funding to some measures which were renamed.

As Environment Minister John Baird introduced new aggressive targets to reduce emission and pollution and so on. It's just never enough for the far left.

That however, is not the issue, the issue here is the lack of transparency and openness as promised and campaigned on by the Liberals. The opposition isn't supposed to have to ask for information on costs of the trip.

Wonder if it will top the $1.2 million Harper spent on a photo op trip to Israel?.
