Canadian conservatives were pleased to see 2015 come to an end. The year was marked by a disappointing election result and closed with the fawning reception of our new, young prime minister.

But time and distance brings fresh perspective, especially today, on the 10-year anniversary of the modern Conservative Party of Canada’s‎ first electoral win. Canadian conservatives have a solid foundation from which to build for the future. And for this we are indebted to the intellectual and political legacy of Stephen Harper.

His first electoral victory 10 years ago was far from a foregone conclusion. It required a positive vision and plan of action and Mr. Harper offered both. In so doing, he became the most important conservative in modern Canadian political history. His is not only a legacy that all conservatives can be proud of, but also a strong basis from which to continue the march

Ahh another intellectual response... when it's not lauding a liberal.
David whined and moaned

Campy, you guys at Seniors Worldwide do nothing but preach to the choir so don't give me that.
Careful Campy, you and FSG are doing that Circle-the-Wagons thing lol

You mean doing exactly what you all do when you don't like a comment. Point a finger and two point back at you.

And. You should never, never, bring up other forums.

Why not? Most everyone here knows that it is conservatives preaching to the choir. Doesn't take a genius to know that considering the membership.

FSG, I hardly would call what you post as "intellectual." I get that you are pissed that Conservatives got the boot. I also get Campy's man-love for Harper. None of your anti-Obama, anti-Trudeau stuff bothers me at all. I talk politics with Obama haters everyday and it bothers me not one bit. I'm just saying that there is a desperation quality to your continuous attacks and I find it comical. Looking forward to more of your intellectual posts.

No doubt you didn't think the daily Harper/conservative bashing was comical, and now have to resort to silly 'man love' comments. Hardly intellectual but you know how that goes, if you can't discuss something intelligently, start throwing insults.

Sure I'm pissed that the Liberals won, I think I would rather the NDP had won actually, but them's the breaks. You et al just don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot and your 'heroes' are on the receiving end.

No doubt the cavalry will be around to back you up and as you see, the thread has deteriorated allready, not started up by me.

lol This is not a war. I know how important it is for you to exact revenge on those who bashed Harper. I don't care what anyone says about my heroes. Like I said, I do this every day on American politics, which is much more deadly than Canadian politics. You guys are very polite compared to Americans. Look at it this way: I survived eight years of George Bush and you will survive Trudeau.

The thread didn't deteriorate because of the comments, it was a laughable thread to begin with. A love letter to Harper from two of his advisors. When dealing with members who think for themselves, we don't accept every article as the gospel, we consider the source of the article.

The WWS Conservative complaints were supported by the results of the elections, and the crap that continues to surface. I am so happy that I left the party when the reform gang took over after the party was sold out.

And - have to add - that none of us ever lowered ourselves to the cesspool to talk about Laureen Harper in the manner that FG did. That in my opinion is even crazy for FG.

I find it sad that a Canadian would do this. But it does help to confirm my analysis of the present Conservatives.

I've seen some of your "where never is heard, a discouraging word" sources.

But then you are from Texas.

The only links you post are favourable to your political bent.

I'm sure you can understand that can't you?

Did you miss this response from Delphi?

Campy, it was not political name calling, nor commenting on the singing - you missed some unladylike behaviour, politically motivated hitting back at the innocent. I was embarrassed to be a Canadian on WWS. Maybe it was a little unfair - a man would probably have been banned.
