Likely because so many are poor and eat Kraft Dinner and it is distributed through the food banks. Not saying I have not used it from time to time as a base for a casserole when in a hurry - and it can be dressed up. Take care, Pat |

It goes with education. Mac and cheese is student fare on a budget. I paid 98 cents for it at Safeway. I like the stuff. |

Many years ago my daughter's best friend in grade 8 would only eat Kraft dinner every day for lunch. Kids usually like the stuff and I have a friend who still buys it though I haven't bought it for decades. |

My brother has to bring back many packs of KD for his step daughter in Oz every time he comes to Canada. I'm a little surprised that we are the world's champion mac and cheese consumers, though. In the southern US it almost counts as a vegetable. |

And then thrown away. Those Canadian mac and cheese numbers must be "per capita" because I am sure the U.S. with 10 times the population eats more mac and cheese by weight. Edited by Trotsky, Jan 30 2016, 03:02 AM.

That lowest temp was in Snag, Yukon. Good to know about cars being unlocked in Churchill, just yesterday I was checking out when to travel by rail to visit there. |

3. Police departments in Canada give out "positive tickets" when they see people doing something positive. I didn't know this, interesting :cow-IthinkIamgoingmad: |
