Sorry to hear that Wildie, but as you say, it is curable, and probably very slow growing. Keep well.

Trotsky, the big C, in the prostate. They tell me its the most curable. The regimen is to wait and watch very carefully!
Sorry, I forgot, wildie.

Are they planning on getting you off the "pills" soon?

I think I would go the way Bob's older brother has, with radioactive seed implants into the prostate. It's been at least a decade for him and he seems to be doing well at 95.

I've been off the pills quite some time now! I asked about using the seeds but apparently my testicles are too over-sized and the pills were to reduce this.
I think that the seeds can only radiate a certain volume.

One of my best friends had his prostate removed at age 67, 3 yrs ago. You'd never know any difference, no problems with incontinence, and no apparent side effects.

Your friend should count his blessings, Mr. Tone.

Btw. John and I weren't too happy with the heat gun method so, reasoning that the top of the sewing machine cabinet had got the way it was by sitting under a leak in the barn, we decided to soak towels in water and lay them on it. Just a couple of days later we were able to peel the whole top off. Now it is ready for the next step.

John is building a new top and might do decorative wood burning. We haven't decided exactly what to do because I want it to look indistinguishable from the style of the cabinet as a whole.

I've been toying with the idea of using mine for my desktop, just considering right now. The treadle would be nice to rest your feet on.
